Entry / Junior Level IT Helpdesk Systems Admin

Summary:

Growing Community Bank in Long Island is seeking an Entry / Junior Level Helpdesk Systems Administrator to join our growing team.

The selected candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware and software on MS Windows based platforms.

Performs moderately complex systems administration, network security, user account management. The person will take an active role in user account administration, configuration and upgrades of platforms and systems. Working with third party server provider to troubleshoot.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain technical knowledge of the client environment for approximately 50-100 plus assigned client accounts.

Perform regular proactive services.

Provide support to the end users with issues on a desktop, laptop, printer and copier hardware/software in a timely manner.

Familiar with standard personal computer hardware (memory modules, hard drive, etc.).

Familiar with basic networking.

Knowledgeable of Windows operating system.

Comfortable with standard technical troubleshooting.

Setup and maintain monitoring and backups.

Assist customers through remote support and onsite.

Requirement to travel to local branch/client locations.

Required to lift, move and carry up to 40 pounds.

Ability to accurately complete all documentation and reports.

Ability to effectively communicate with employees and other customers.

Skills:

Undergraduate BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject is preferred.

Knowledge in controlling and managing network IP address space, domain name system (DNS) and Wide Area Network infrastructure. Familiarity with Active Directory environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, which could include levels of management and external vendors. Ability to present information to various levels of the organization.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced, structured environment with tight deadlines, and changing priorities. Must follow procedures, processes, and policies.

Compensation will commensurate with experience.

The position is located at 80 East Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, New York 11501.
