We have an excellent for a Construction Sales Rep / Business Development Rep to join our team We are stable, fast growing Engineering Company located in Farmingdale, NY. Our clients span Long Island throughout the 5 boroughs of NY. Candidate should have excellent communication, ability to build rapport with new and existing clients; ability to network for new business and following leads. Not required, but a big plus for candidates with an established network of existing clients or experience within the Construction / Engineering Industry. Growth potential for the right candidate.
:Responsible for building, maintaining and growing long:term relationships with clients to grow our company.
:Establishing and maintaining a professional business relationship with existing and prospective clients along with growing the business with existing customer.
:Prospecting and building relationships with Engineers, Architects, and key Construction Companies related to our industry.
:Prepare and deliver sales presentations to grow existing client base; follow up with key decision makers.
:Local travel throughout Long Island and 5 Boroughs as needed to meet with existing clients and prospective clients.
:Min. of 2 years selling experience
:Preferred client experience is in the Construction Industry (Engineering, Materials Testing, Geotechnical, Architectural, Civil, Structural)
:Strong interest in Engineering, Construction Industry or Materials Testing.
:Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of sales and customer support, and able to read and understand both technical and operational information
:Professional presentation; is confident, assertive and displays a high level of self:esteem.
:Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner.
:Good communication skills; is able to effectively communicate to all levels of management, both internally and externally.
:Strong active listening skills; gives full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and letting others fully state their ideas.
:Self motivated with strong work effort
:Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality at all times
:Good written and verbal presentation skills
