Note: This is a multi:level growth series position (Grade Level 24/25/26). The title, grade level and incentive target assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience, learned through the interview process.

:Estimation of class average load shapes, key statistics, and precision levels from interval data collected from sample locations, using accepted industry techniques to support Rate Design , Cost of Service Studies, Customer Billing, and Retail Settlement
:Perform regression modeling to produce weather normalized load shapes for forecasting applications
:Ensure that monthly and annual reports of key class load information are produced for use by internal and external groups. Prepare and deliver presentations on methods and results.
:Develop testimony and exhibits to support distribution company rate cases. Represent the company in hearings and technical sessions with state regulators.
:Perform retail settlement meeting the NYISO requirements for accuracy and timeliness.
:Design and perform analysis to respond to ad hoc requests for load information, using available data, analytical techniques, graphs and software tools.
:Design and selection of samples of customers for participation in load research and special studies. Work with metering departments to ensure that meters are installed and maintained at sample sites.
:Consult to other groups on sample design and statistical analysis concepts and practice.
:Keep current with industry trends by communicating with counterparts at other utilities, regulators and vendors. Recommend improvements to statistical methods and tools to reflect best practices.
:Identify and recommend process improvements

Knowledge and Experience Required:
:A Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
:Associate Analyst : Minimum 0:3 years of related experience and knowledge of a statistical analysis software package (SAS, SPSS, R, or similar)
:Analyst : Minimum 3:5 years of related experience with solid working knowledge of a statistical analysis software package (SAS, SPSS, R, or similar)
:Senior Analyst : Minimum 5:7 years of related experience with proficient to expert working knowledge of a statistical analysis software package (SAS, SPSS, R, or similar)
:Strong oral and written communication skills
:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
:Strong technical and analytical skills
:Demonstrated statistical analysis skills, including experience with load research sample design, statistical methods, and the ability to analyze large data sets

Desired Skills:
:Masters degree preferred
:Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) is highly desired.
:Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills including experience with load research sample design, ratio estimation, statistical methods, and the ability to efficiently analyze large data sets
:Prior experience in load research, forecasting, rates/pricing, or utility data analytics is highly desired.
:Experience providing testimony in rate case proceedings a plus
:Knowledge of load research best practices and experience presenting at conferences and workshops
:Knowledge of energy efficiency and Dema
